Estancia Loreto is situated in the Valdéz Peninsula, the world Nº 1 marine fauna observation spot.
In 1999, UNESCO declared the Valdéz Peninsula a World Heritage Site, since many of the species whose habitat it is are endangered. Between the months of June and December, the peninsula receives many special visitors.
Over a thousand Southern Right whales arrive in Puerto Pirámides. This is the species’ area of densest population and it can de closely observed from boats.
Loreto is a mere 10 kms from Puerto Pirámides and has private access to the beach in the San José Gulf.
The lodge, in a charmingly rustic style, offers all the comforts to make your stay an enjoyable experience as you relax for a few memorable days in this wonderful place. There are 4 bedrooms with bathrooms en suite, an apartment, a living-room with a fireplace and a dining-room.

We organize all our own programmes and they are extremely personalized.
In Loreto we have two programmes which enable you to get to know the peninsula in two different ways.
The main programme, called “Amazing Valdéz” lasts for three nights and four days.
In this programme we offer the following activities; horseback riding along the cliffs of the coast, snorkel-diving with sea-lions, trekking, whale watching from our boats, observing elephant seals penguins and killer-whales in Punta Norte; trekking in the hills and plateaus with expert guides who will show you the local flora and fauna and fossils to be found in the area. In Valdéz, not everything is marine fauna - there are also many land animals to see – guanacos, Patagonian hares, armadillos and rheas – all of which can be seen during our hikes.
The other programme is a “Slow Travel” proposal, lasting five nights and six days.
Here, apart from getting to know the peninsula with all its attractions, we offer something different. A journey into the self in a completely different way – organic food and drink, massages, reiking, yoga, meditation and sightings with all the time in the world at your disposition.

Loreto is 1,300 kms from Buenos Aires, one and a half hours from Puerto Madryn Airport, two hours from Trelew Airport.
The journey is by plane from Buenos Aires to Puerto Madryn or Trelew + transfer.
